Job Description

Job Title: Food Preparation & Breakfast Attendant

Job Summary: Prepares and serves the daily complimentary hot & fresh breakfast for hotel guests, while meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues. Attends to presentation, refills, and preparation of omelettes. Actual number of work hours required per week varies and depends on seasonal fluctuations in number of guests staying with us. Start time is 6:30am and end time varies based on occupancy.

Job Duties:

  • Meets and greets guests in friendly, courteous and professional manner.
  • Prepares and serves hot breakfast.
  • Keeps it refilled with meticulous presentation.
  • Prepares two egg omelettes and waffles as needed.
  • Re-stocks coffee/tea, juice, milk, cream, and condiments.
  • Sets out and arranges food, such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal for self-service.
  • Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated & keeps meticulously clean.
  • Deep cleans all surfaces daily as part of the end of breakfast clean up routine.
  • Returns reusable food supplies to storage with proper dates on product.
  • Follows city, county, and/or state guidelines on food prep, storage, sanitation, and other items the inspector gives to the hotel.
  • Takes inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.

Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service or food server experience preferred.
  • Physical - Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Physical - Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates and truly enjoy customer service.
  • High cleaning standards and basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, motivated, organized, and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays required.
  • Must have reliable transportation due to weather conditions and must live locally.
  • Drug testing & background check required.
  • Have a current food handler's permit.

Wages:

  • $17.50 to $18.00 per hour to start

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 32 per week

Shift:

  • Day shift

Weekly day range:

  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday
