JOB DESCRIPTION: BRANCH ASSOCIATE

DUTIES: Perform any functions necessary, within the scope of authority and expertise, in a courteous and professional manner, to provide the highest level of service to the members of Star USA Federal Credit Union. Will report to the Sr. VP of Lending.

Will assist the Branch with the following duties: transactions of the cash teller, opening accounts, answering telephones, issuing starter kits on new draft accounts, preparing and issuing money orders, traveler’s checks and gift cards as well as acting as a receptionist. Will assist with the gathering of lending information. Will cross sell all credit union services and products. Will balance teller activity daily. Will be assigned to other branch locations as needed. Will perform any other duties as required and assigned, including assisting with accounting, I.T., or Collection Departments.

QUALIFICATIONS: A college degree is preferred but comparable experience may be substituted. Must exhibit strong personal computer, typing, and communication skills. Must develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of credit union policies and procedures. Must be able to professionally handle a variety of duties and responsibilities. Must understand the importance of confidentiality in all transactions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 28 per week
