Job Description

Provide bookkeeping and administrative support for small property management company. Looking for candidate that can take initiative to complete tasks on their own and that can work unsupervised once trained. You need a strong understanding of accounting principles. Job features flexible hours and days. This is a long-term position, where you will work as an independent contractor. I would like someone who can work at least 15-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Collect and process mail from city mailbox and drop box

Input rent checks and make bank deposits

Input bills and print checks to be signed about 15 & 26th of the month

Prepare and edit correspondence, issue Late Letters, create/write up tenant notices.

Enter information for new leases, properties and units into computer

Fax/scan new tenants info to utility companies

Confirm Move In/Move out reports are entered

Check Move Out Deposits have been transferred in bank and computer by end of month

Compile various lists with the help of software as needed

Email/text group messages to various tenants.

Update Rental Ads on CL, Zillow and FaceBook

Create/Post Social media entries

File all paperwork that comes into office

Provide assistance to administration as needed

Show units and answer phone calls when owner is unavailable or on vacation

Sweep Office Steps as needed.

Qualifications

Attention to Detail is a Must

Have a strong working knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping principals. Must have a degree in bookkeeping, accounting or at least 5 years experience.

Be able to use online accounting software similar to Quick Books

Knowledge with Rent Manager a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Positive attitude

Proactive problem-solving skills

Self-Starter

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
