JOB TITLE: WFA Van Driver
REPORTS TO: Deputy Program Integrationist
SUPERVISES: N/A
FLSA Classification: Contract
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an individual with experience driving a 15-passenger bus to transport county families safely. This is the perfect job for someone looking for part-time work and who loves helping others.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and REQUIREMENTS:
■ Possess a valid driver's license with a good (insurable) driving record.
■ Assertive, self-confident, and sensitive in working with diverse individuals.
■ Ability and willingness to transport families in or around the county.
■ Must be able to pass a background check and a Child Protective Services background check.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
■ Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
■ Builds rapport and trust with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
■ Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
■ Ability to work under pressure, handle emergencies with professionalism and defuse crisis. situations.
■ Works collaboratively in all situations with clients and staff. Ensures clients' comfort and trust.
■ Practices with a strong code of ethics and integrity and fulfills obligations.
■ Shows flexibility, initiative, and resourcefulness in all actions and conversations.
■ Ability to handle and be entrusted with confidential information.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical demands and characteristics of the work environment expected are typical of those in a transportation setting; however, additional functions may be required to meet the needs of our clients.
