Job Description

Position Summary

The Bartender for FiveStar Lifestyles is responsible for positive member and guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages in a friendly manner, in addition to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Functions

● Make all members and guests feel appreciated by welcoming them upon entering, as well as learning their names and favorite drinks.

● Communicate with members and guests using clean and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times.

● Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage Team to ensure member and guest satisfaction.

● Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons of the bar following standard recipes.

● Ring all drink orders into the computer system immediately, as well as collect money, start tabs or add to member accounts.

● Arrange bottles and glassware to maintain an attractive display in agreement to FiveStar Lifestyles standards.

Wash and sanitize all stemware.

● Monitor the amount of alcoholic drinks

ordered, ensuring that members and guests are not over-served.

● Assist in finding and coordinating proper transportation home for members and guests, if necessary.

● Represent FiveStar Lifestyles in a professional manner at all times.

● Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Experience

● High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate required.

● Prior experience in a bartending or service role, preferably in a country club setting.

● Extensive knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, as well as familiar with standard drink recipes.

● Mixology courses preferred.

● Food Handlers Certification.

● Must be 21 years of age or older.

● Basic mathematical skills with the ability to handle money and give correct change.

● Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 29 per week

Weekly day range:

  • Weekends as needed
