Job Description: You play a crucial role in shaping the customer experience and contributing to our shops unique atmosphere. You will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the shop during your shift. You will be responsible for managing team performance, ensuring high standards of customer service, and maintaining the overall flow of operations. You are a strong leader who can manage multiple tasks while fostering a collaborative and positive environment for both customers and staff. You will be responsible for providing exceptional coffee, delicious beverages, and outstanding service while engaging with our diverse and vibrant community. This role requires someone with a passion for people, community, and the ability to make quick and thoughtful decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Exceptional Customer Service: Greet every single customer like if they were a guest in your home. Take orders, and provide an unforgettable experience through attentive and friendly service.
Staff Support: Act as the go-to person for baristas and other team members when issues or questions arise during the shift. Provide guidance and feedback to enhance their performance.
Coffee Expertise: Brew and serve a wide variety of coffee and espresso drinks with precision, maintaining a consistently high quality. You must maintain knowledge of new coffees, their origins and flavor profiles. Be confident enough to explain and talk about them to all of our customers.
Menu Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of our menu, including coffee, tea, and baked goods, and make personalized recommendations to customers.
Community Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with our regulars and newcomers, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
Proactive Problem-Solving: Be able to think on your feet and make executive decisions to handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure the smooth operation of the shop.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the shop and work area clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to maintain a cohesive and efficient work environment. Communicate effectively, share ideas, and contribute to the success of the team.
Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet our quality standards and take pride in delivering a consistent, high-quality product.
Feedback and Development: Welcome constructive criticism and feedback from team members and owners. Use this feedback to enhance your skills, and work collaboratively with the team to improve overall operations.
Qualifications:
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
