ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage Team to ensure member and guest satisfaction.
  • Learn and accurately identify members and their guests, greeting them as they come in.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Leaders in creating new ideas to generate more business, including drink specials and incentives.
  • Ensure a quality of cleanliness, fresh food, drinks and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere to members and guests every time they utilize the club.
  • Make and serve requested beverages.
  • Take orders from guests and accurately communicate orders and special requests to the Culinary Team.
  • Ensure that all orders are plated properly and have a presentable and attractive display prior to being served.
  • Refill water and beverages in a timely manner.
  • Keep the front of house restaurant clean and stocked with product at all times.
  • Answer telephones take reservations, to-go orders and golf course orders.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of events, including organizing chairs, tables, linens, tableware, glassware, beverage stations, buffets, gift tables, etc.
  • Responsible for working regular shifts, as well as banquets, special occasions and member events, as needed.
  • Monitor the amount of alcoholic drinks ordered, ensuring that members and guests are not over-served.
  • Assist in finding and coordinating proper transportation home for members and guests, if necessary.
  • Perform routine opening, closing and shift-transitioning checklists before and after every shift.
  • Represent FiveStar Lifestyles in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate required.
  • Prior experience in a service or bartending role, preferably in a country club setting.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, as well as familiar with standard drink recipes.
  • Food Handlers Certification.
  • Basic mathematical skills with the ability to handle money and give correct change.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
