Title: Athletics Department Assistant


Position Summary:


Duke University Athletics Association is seeking a qualified candidate for the Athletics Department Assistant position. This is a part time position (benefits ineligible) and this person will report to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics.


Qualifications:


Required:

Bachelor’s degree

Must have a valid driver’s license.


Knowledge, Skills, Ability:


  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively
  • Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time well and prioritize tasks

Essential Functions:

  • Support the executive team in external and internal committees preparation, projects and speaking engagements
  • Provide documentation for expense reports(procurement card clearing/reimbursements/check requests) for executive senior staff as assigned
  • Provide assistance with scheduling for the executive team
  • Help with daily operations in Administrative Office Suite (Answering main phone line, mail distribution, etc.)
  • Will assist members of the Athletics Executive team with direction from the Senior Associate Director of Athletics

Minimum Qualifications


Education

Work requires analytical, communication and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree program.


Experience


No experience required beyond bachelor's degree. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
