We are looking for a competent person to complement the team teaching our students. Starting hours are 3 PM thru 6 PM Monday thru Friday afternoon. Would like someone who would also be able to serve as a substitute teacher when a staff member needs to be off. Strong possibility more hours will become available later in the summer.

Responsibilities

Supervise a group of 10 children in afterschool hours either in the classroom or on the playground to ensure their safety and enjoyment of the environment. While you would not be working on academic skills during this time, the children are always working on "life skills" such as sharing, cooperation, kindness, manners, etc.

• Collaborate with other teachers and aides on creating an environment that is supportive of all children
• Communicate any concerns or issues to Lead Teacher

Qualification

Must have some experience and enjoy working with children ages 2 1/2-6. Experience can include child care, babysitting, working in Church Nursery for example.

STATE requires: To be completed if hired- current CPR/first aide certification, background screening with finger printing, medical exam on file and annual "clock hour" training.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
