Job Summary:
The Securities Division strives to preserve the integrity of the financial marketplace through investigative actions and the registration and oversight of securities, dealers and salespersons, and investment advisers; to enhance legitimate capital formation and deter financial fraud; and to minimize the burden and expense of regulatory compliance by legitimate business. We have an opportunity for part-time AmeriCorps members to work with our team.
Job Duties:
You will assist the Arizona Corporation Commission Securities Division with expanding our outreach and education for vulnerable adults in Arizona to include assisting with the investigation of possible violations of the Securities Act and the Investment Management Act and the protection of vulnerable adults from investment fraud. Your duties will entail communicating with the general public, law enforcement officials, legal professionals, the business community, respondents, investors, and witnesses on vulnerable adult securities issues. Your efforts will be focused on serving vulnerable adults and seniors in our state through outreach, education and assistance with improving our web presence and accessibility for seniors to include increasing the visits to our websites and increasing the number of senior adult presentations and contacts. Your duties may also include, under supervision, performing extensive background checks, assisting investigators with interviews, conducting case related information gathering and participating in depositions. You will gain experience examining and analyzing data, reviewing, and collating case related records, interaction with investigators, forensic accountants, and attorneys throughout all stages of a case.
