This Raytheon business unit position is in support of RTX’s Collins Aerospace - Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) business area.

As Air Traffic Management Strategy Lead, you will use your background in US and International air traffic modernization requirements, technology, roadmaps, and acquisition/funding to work with key leaders in the business to help shape and execute CAS’s evolution in air traffic management modernization. You will work closely with RTX business leaders, strategy leaders, business development, engineering, and customers to help drive both strategy and capture new business.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Engage and research US and international Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and other customers and policy makers to help guide the business roadmap and pursuit strategy with other functional leaders of the Air Traffic Solutions business area
  • Work with other leaders in the business to help develop winning proposals with differentiating capabilities and offerings
  • Engage with other business and engineering leaders across Collins and Raytheon to align and develop strategic initiatives
  • Assist in evaluation of competitors, partners, and subcontractors to ensure sound execution on new programs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 14 years of prior relevant experience
  • Established experience and aptitude working with US and International Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), familiar with acquisition, policy evolution, technology roadmaps, funding types, and modernization
  • Established experience in operational concept development, requirements analysis, transition, fielding, & qualification
  • Established experience in unmanned aviation & advanced air mobility air traffic management and situational awareness
  • Research (SESAR), Trajectory-Based Operations (TBO)
  • Familiarity with primary and secondary air traffic radar systems, air traffic management automation systems, communication/navigation/surveillance systems technologies
  • Experience briefing high level US and international customers and technology partners
  • Job does not require a clearance but requires access to information that is contractually restricted to U.S. citizens

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying and sustaining systems into the National Airspace Systems (NAS)
  • Program and capture management experience
  • Air Traffic Control experience or familiarity

Additional Information:

  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

This is a temporary position of an undetermined length.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
