General Information:

The Office of Advancement Marketing promotes the importance and rewards of investing in James Madison University. Our creative team designs events, amplifies voices, motivates donors, and celebrates the impact of giving across the university.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Editor of video content for events and fundraising priority projects.
  • Participate in story development by attending production meetings and working with scriptwriters when able.
  • Shoot and record assigned features and events ensuring proper video, lighting, and audio setup where applicable.
  • Create using Adobe Creative Suite Software.
  • Aid in setting up, running and striking Advancement events that require audio/visual support from Advancement Marketing.
  • Other duties assigned by the Advancement Marketing Team.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite or comparable program.
  • Basic understanding of video editing and camera operation.
  • Experience with still photography preferred.

Conditions of Employment:

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).

Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
