JOB SUMMARY

The part-time Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing administrative duties in the Continuing Education area at a technical college.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Assist in the evaluation of Continuing Education for continuous enrollment growth and revenue generation.
  • Assist, as required, with registration, reporting and instructor contracts.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and appropriate student, instructor and course and program documentation and files.
  • Assist in developing courses relevant to community needs.
  • Assist in marketing of Continuing Education programs.
  • Assist with special events and rentals.
  • Proctor exams.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Communicate effectively, cooperatively and tactfully with students, business/industry, government and community representatives/citizens, faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Prepare and distribute certificates to students who successfully complete coursework.
  • Ensure fee payment by students and lessees.
  • Prepare monthly reports and purchase requests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent *and* Six (6) months of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to the minimum qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Business or related field. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge and experience in the use of BANNER Student Information System

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly
  • Salary commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience
  • Not eligible for benefits
