Position Information
The Department of Physical Therapy invites applicants to apply for a part-time, non-exempt, grant-funded, contractual position with limited benefits in the Physical Therapy Program. The position will report to the Department Chair.

Responsibilities
  • Edit, format, and revise a variety of documents and materials created by others.
  • Proofread for grammatical, typographical and basic content errors; compose responses to routine inquiries in accordance to general instruction.,
  • Develop, implement, and maintain paper and electronic filing systems which meet department needs and satisfy requirements for retention and information security;
  • Enter, update, and retrieve information as needed.
  • Screen telephone calls and visitors; schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments.
  • Make travel arrangements following general instructions and campus procedures.
  • Perform necessary follow-up for vouchers, expense reports, and reimbursements.
  • Gathers and consolidates background information for report production.
  • Communicates with internal and external contacts.
  • Orders supplies and equipment and oversees equipment maintenance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience providing administrative support.
  • Experience with computer applications including word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Website experience is beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have excellent communication, customer service, organizational, interpersonal and written skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and complete tasks with short deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn and manage software for department processes.
  • Must be skilled in editing, formatting, and database entry.
  • Must be a service-minded professional that takes personal accountability and initiative in getting the job done and delighting our students, faculty, department, and university stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work in a diverse environment.
  • Database skills.
