Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our accounting team as an Accounting Clerk or coordinator. The ideal candidate uses their engaging personality to create a memorable first impression for our internal and external guests. The coordinator is a source of knowledge for managers and employees with respect to payroll and receivables.

If you are a detail-oriented person who enjoys numbers and making meaningful connections, as well as taking steps to “WOW” people, we want you! This is a tremendous opportunity for a driven person to grow a career in hospitality within accounting and finance.


Your role:

  • Responsible for the accurate reviewing, balancing, and posting of all direct billings, credit card charges and payments.
  • Balancing accounts receivable daily.
  • Preparation of daily invoices on all city ledger accounts and organization and filing of all reports in accordance with management company’s accounting and credit policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile loyalty awards redemption monthly.
  • Submit responses to chargeback inquiries.
  • Investigate and reconcile open folio balances.
  • Review and submit direct bill applications to Hotel Credit Association.
  • Reconcile and prepare the house cash deposit for the previous day.
  • Report and follow up on all cashier overages and shortages.
  • Manage petty cash in accordance with company policy.
  • Audit house banks on a per financial period basis.
Qualifications:
  • Previous finance experience in hospitality is a plus.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • General Cashier experience in hospitality is a plus.
Please be advised, we are a large full-service hotel and as such this position requires extended periods on your feet with frequent long walks around the internal areas of the hotel along with considerable physical activity on a continuous basis, up to and including entire shifts.
